From South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) we have confirmed that SASSA commenced children’s grant payments on Thursday, 5 September 2024. It is informed to all approved beneficiaries to expect your grant funds transactions directly made to your bank accounts or available at selected payment points, Post Office, and authorized retail outlets including Pick N Pay, Shoprite, Usave, Spar, Checkers and Boxer. SASSA sends SMS notifications before the payment date so you can collect your grant funds on time.
Important Reminder: To receive your SASSA grant directly into your bank account instead of collecting it from the Post Office or retail outlets, make sure to update your payment method following the process of Change banking details SASSA. This will ensure your grant is deposited directly into your account.

If you have not received an SMS confirmation on your registered phone number, you can verify whether your Child Support Grant for September has been approved by using the SASSA Status Check online.
