SASSA Grant Payment Dates 2 to 30 September 2025 Announced
For September 2025, the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has scheduled the social grants and the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) payments. With the SASSA grant payment dates set from 2 to 30 September 2025, beneficiaries of the Older Persons Grant, Disability Grant, and Child Support Grant can check their SASSA status for September 2025 to confirm eligibility for September payments.
SASSA Grant Payment Dates 2 to 30 September 2025 Announced
SASSA disburses different social grants on specific dates each month, following a set schedule. Beneficiaries can check the announced SASSA payment dates for September 2025 to know the exact day their grant will be paid, as SASSA begins payouts for the month.
- Older Persons Grant – Tuesday, 2 September 2025
- Disability Grant – Wednesday, 3 September 2025
- Child Support Grant and all other grants – Thursday, 4 September 2025
- SASSA R350 SRD Grant – Wednesday, 24 September to Tuesday, 30 September 2025
SASSA Status Check for September 2025 Payment Dates
SASSA beneficiaries must check their SRD status for September 2025 to confirm that their grant is approved for the month. Without an approved status, no payment will be made.
- To check your SASSA grant status for September 2025, visit the SASSA website.
- Enter your South African ID number and the registered cell phone number.
- Click on the “Status Check” to view your results for September 2025 grant payments.
An approved status for September confirms your eligibility and that your grant payment has been processed. SASSA deposits funds directly into your registered bank account, which may take up to 2 business days to reflect.
If you receive payments through a SASSA card, you can withdraw your grant at ATMs, Postbank branches, or authorised retail stores, including Shoprite, Checkers, Boxer, Pick n Pay, and Spar.
Update 2025: Minister Sisisi Tolashe stated in Parliament that the Postbank MSA contract will end in September 2025. However, SASSA confirmed that grant payments for September 2025 will not be affected by this termination.
