SASSA R350 Grant Payment Dates for April 2025

SASSA R350 grant payments for Social Relief of Distress (SRD) beneficiaries are scheduled from Friday, 25 April to Wednesday, 30 April 2025.

SRD grant beneficiaries must check their SRD status online to confirm approval for April 2025 payments. Verifying your SASSA status online will confirm whether your grant payment has been approved for the expected month. Once you have checked grant status and received confirmation for April 2025, the approved grant funds will be deposited directly into your registered bank account on the scheduled payday.

Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana announced SASSA grant increases effective from April 2025, to help beneficiaries manage rising living costs. These new payment increases will apply to permanent social grants.

Where to Collect Your SASSA Grant Payments

Beneficiaries can collect their SASSA grant payments through multiple SASSA payment methods for convenience on the scheduled dates. Payments are available via direct bank deposits, use SASSA Black Cards to withdraw at ATMs, and collect at retail outlets such as Shoprite, Boxer, Pick n Pay, and Checkers. These stores partner with SASSA to make a quick distribution of grant funds across South Africa.

For April 2025, beneficiaries with bank accounts linked for SASSA payments will receive their approved funds directly into their linked bank accounts. Funds will remain accessible until withdrawn, so there is no need to rush on the first day.

If you haven’t linked a bank account, use the ‘Change Banking Details SASSA’ process to update your payment method online. This ensures your grant money is deposited directly into your account each month without going to retail outlets.

Important Announcement for SASSA Card Holders

SASSA Gold Cards will no longer be valid after the 20 March 2025 deadline. Beneficiaries with expired Gold Cards must switch to the new Postbank Black Card to receive their April 2025 payment. If unable to replace the Gold Card in time, SASSA assures that approved grant beneficiaries can still withdraw funds at Post Office branches during April and May 2025.

Postbank spokesperson Bongani Dikeo stated: Postbank sets April 2025 deadline for SASSA Black cards, and urges beneficiaries to replace their cards to continue receiving SASSA funds.

“We will continue assisting beneficiaries with Black Cards replacements now extended until April 2025.” Recipients with Gold Cards should visit Postbank for grant withdrawals, however, those with Black Cards will not be assisted at Post Office branches and are advised to use retailers and ATMs for withdrawals.
