SASSA Payment Dates for April 2024

The latest SASSA payment schedule from January 2024 to March 2025 is attached. Below are the guidelines for grant holders.

April 2024 Payment Dates

  • Older Age and War Veterans Grant: April 3, 2024 (Wednesday).
  • Care Dependency and Disability Grant: April 4, 2024 (Thursday).
  • Child Support and Foster Child Grant: April 5, 2024 (Friday).
  • Social Relief of Distress SRD R350 – Starts from 24 April 2024 and Ends on 30 April 2024.

SASSA Payment Methods

Social grant payments can be accessed through the following methods:

  • Using an SASSA gold card at any bank ATM.
  • Government Post Office.
  • Collecting funds from designated collection points, including, Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite, Boxer, and USave stores.

  • Grant recipients are encouraged to use the designated payment methods and to avoid long queues by waiting a few days after the payment date to collect their funds.

        1. Visit https://srd.sassa.gov.za

        2. Choose your section ID Holder or Asylum Seekers

        3. Click “How to Change Banking Details”

        4. Enter your SA ID number.

        5. Verify with the OTP sent to your phone.

        6. Click the secure link and update your bank info.

        1 Choose Bank Name
        2 Provide Account Details
        3 Agree to Terms
        4 Submit Updated Details
