Postbank Black Card Replacement Date Extended to 20 March 2025
Postbank has officially extended the deadline for all SASSA gold cardholders to replace their expired cards. Beneficiaries now have until 20 March 2025 to collect their new Postbank Black Cards to continue receiving their SASSA grant payments without issues. This extension gives beneficiaries more time to visit the nearest card replacement points and switch to the new Postbank Black Card before the old Gold cards stop working.
Postbank Black Card Replacement Date Extended to 20 March 2025
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) and Postbank have extended the Black Card replacement deadline to 20 March 2025. The announced extension confirms the deadline for social grant beneficiaries to replace their expired SASSA gold cards with the new Postbank black cards before the end of March.
This clears up the early SASSA announcement for replacing expired gold cards. Now with the updated date, beneficiaries can still receive their March 2025 social grant payments using their expired Gold cards and have enough days to complete the replacement.
Switching to the new black card is now compulsory for all SASSA beneficiaries to keep receiving grant payments. Postbank officials, including Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies Mondli Gungubele, confirmed that beneficiaries who don’t collect their black card before 20 March will not receive their April grant with the gold card.
The new Postbank black card works the same as the SASSA gold card for withdrawing money, shopping, and checking balances. Beneficiaries can contact Postbank at 0800 53 54 55 or email [email protected] for help.
To check Black Card collection points, dial *120*218*3# and select option 1, choose your province, and you will get a list of collection locations.
You can collect your SASSA Black Card at the nearest Postbank distribution centres or selected stores, including Shoprite, Checkers, Usave, Boxer, and Pick n Pay.
