With the announcement of new payment distribution schedule, SASSA old age grant starts from 4 March 2025, on Tuesday.
Approved beneficiaries aged 60 to 74, and those 75 and older can expect to receive their full grant amount, along with any other linked grants paid on this payday.
Payments for SASSA old age grant beneficiaries aged 60 to 74 will receive R2,190, while beneficiaries aged 75 and older will receive an increased amount of R2,210.
Beneficiaries can check their SASSA grant status online to confirm their March 2025 Old Age Grant payment approval.

For March 2025, SASSA ensures that old age grants are directly deposited into beneficiaries bank accounts on the scheduled SASSA payment dates.
South African banks take up to 2 days to process SASSA grant payments, and funds will be reflected in beneficiaries’ accounts once successfully processed for March 2025.
