For Child Support Grant beneficiaries, the confirmed payment date is Monday, 6 October 2025 (06-10-2025). Payments will be distributed from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM on the scheduled pay day.

Appeal for SASSA Declined Child Support Grant for October 2025
SASSA has reminded Child Support Grant recipients that when your application or a monthly grant status declined, the reason for the decision is provided in your status. Your grant may get declined if SASSA’s verification shows that there is an alternative source of income, your circumstances do not meet the eligibility criteria, or if there are discrepancies in the submitted details.
Child Support Grant beneficiaries who have been declined for October 2025 have the right to lodge an appeal. The appeal application can be submitted online by completing the official SASSA appeal form, which requires applicants to provide the reason for disputing the declined outcome.
Once submitted, the appeal is reviewed and processed by the Department of Social Development (DSD). Beneficiaries will be notified of the outcome by SMS or a phone call. If the appeal is successful, the Child Support Grant will be reinstated and payments will be issued monthly.
Important Update for SASSA Beneficiaries
The Master Services Agreement (MSA) between SASSA and Postbank is set to end on 30 September 2025. Postbank remains a fully licensed and functioning bank, and SASSA has assured Parliament that social grant payments to its beneficiaries will continue without disruption using existing bank channels, including Postbank. No new service provider is being appointed as a replacement.
