How to transfer money to Capitec using the Postbank App
Transferring money from the Postbank Mobile App works the same way as using Postbank Internet Banking. You have to log in to the Postbank app and navigate to the “Transfers” section from the main menu. Add the recipient bank account as a new beneficiary and enter the required details. Then, specify the amount you want to transfer and confirm the transaction to complete it. Once done, you will receive official SMS confirmation of the successful transfer.
Important Reminder: If your transaction requires a higher amount of SASSA balance, you can wait for the next SASSA payment date. Once your approved grant reflects, you will be able to complete your transaction smoothly.
Withdraw Cash from Your SASSA Card and Deposit into Capitec Account
Using a cash withdrawal, you can manually transfer your SRD R350 grant or any other social grant money from your SASSA card to Capitec or any other bank account. This is a simple two-step process.
Cash Withdrawal from Your SASSA Card
You need to withdraw the exact amount you want to transfer from your SASSA Card (Postbank Black Card) at your nearest Post Office, Postbank ATM, or partnered retailers such as Shoprite, Pick n Pay, Spar, Boxer, or USave.
Deposit Money into Your Capitec Bank Account
Go to a nearby Capitec branch or a deposit-taking ATM to deposit the withdrawn amount directly into your Capitec bank account. With this process, your funds reflect the same day, and you can keep the receipt as proof of deposit.
Note: If your SASSA Card declined, check this guide to resolve the issue quickly.
