SASSA Announced October 2 to 30 Confirmed Payment Dates

For October 2024, SASSA announced October 2 to 30 confirmed payment dates for approved beneficiaries. Social grant payments start distributed on October 2, 3, and 4, and Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant payments will continue to be paid until October 30. The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is responsible for distributing monthly payments in South Africa that benefit older persons, people with disabilities, children, and the unemployed.

This is the official SASSA payment dates schedule for October 2024, informing when SASSA will roll out grant payments for South Africans.

On October 2, SASSA will release payments for older person beneficiaries, including those receiving the War Veterans Grant. Disability grants and care dependency grants will be disbursed on October 3. Children’s grants, including foster care and child support payments will be released on October 4.

SASSA has authorized multiple payment methods for beneficiaries to collect their grants. These include the Post Office, Pick n Pay, Checkers, Boxer, and other approved retail outlets. Beneficiaries are advised to collect payments with SASSA cards on time to avoid delays. If you are late to receive your approved grant funds, SASSA can reverse your payments for the month.

Recipients who have provide bank account details to SASSA will receive their payments directly into their bank accounts, with no need to visit the Post Office. Grant transactions, including October 2024 payments, will be processed within 3 days of the scheduled payment date, and beneficiaries will receive a confirmation SMS.
