- To Cancel SASSA Grant visit the SASSA Cancellation Portal at srd.sassa.gov.za.
- Scroll down the page and click on Cancel My Application TAB.
- Click on the yellow button Click Here to Cancel Online.
- A new window prompt appears to provide your details to proceed.
- Enter your ID number and cell phone number that is registered with your SASSA Grant.
- Click on the Send PIN button to receive an SMS with the SASSA OTP Code.
- Provide the OTP Code to verify you are the original applicant.
- Click on the “Cancel My Grant” button to confirm the prompt message ‘Are you sure to cancel your grant application’
- Accept your choice and click ‘Yes’ to cancel your Grant to terminate.
- You will receive a confirmation SMS on your cell phone number saying ‘Your request to cancel SASSA Grant has been sent.’
How Much Time It Take to Cancel SASSA Grant
After submitting an online appeal to cancel your SASSA Grant, you can expect to receive a response within 7 days (one week). Within this timeframe, your grant will be terminated, and you will no longer be a beneficiary of the SASSA R350 Grant or a SASSA Social Grant, as per your application request. You can confirm your SASSA Grant Cancellation online using the SASSA Status Checker to ensure that you are no longer a recipient and are eligible for government jobs without any issues.
